Special Terms for the Field of Beauty with Consent to the Processing of Photos
Last updated: 30 September 2026
This is a translation for convenience. In case of discrepancies, the German version shall prevail.
In brief (non-binding)
This summary in plain language is non-binding. It is only meant to provide an overview. Only the following text is binding.
These terms apply additionally if your case is handled in the field of beauty, for example for aesthetic procedures.
Love Your Life organises and accompanies your case. The treatment itself is carried out by the facility or the doctor.
We only organise aesthetic procedures without a medical reason for adults.
You can only upload photos if you consent separately. We only show them to the doctors and facilities of your case and never use them for advertising.
Before a procedure, you are informed in person and have time to reflect. Nobody can promise a particular result.
If your case belongs in the field of medicine, it can be moved there. We will inform you about this.
§ 1 Contracting parties and scope
These Special Terms apply between BGGI GmbH, Rostocker Straße 43, 53117 Bonn, entered in the commercial register at Amtsgericht Bonn under HRB 26753 (“BGGI” or “we”), and the patient who opens a case in the field of beauty via the platform “Love Your Life”, a brand of BGGI GmbH, or whose case is moved to this field (“you”).
They apply from the opening of a case in this field or from the moving of a case to this field.
They supplement the General Terms and Conditions (“GTC”), the Use and Service Agreement for patients, the Privacy Policy and the consent to the processing of health data. Insofar as these terms provide otherwise for the field of beauty, they take precedence.
The consent to the processing of photos (§ 6) is not part of these terms. We request it separately and record it separately.
§ 2 Subject matter of the contract
The field of beauty comprises aesthetic treatments and procedures, in particular aesthetic plastic surgery, hair transplants, dental aesthetics, skin treatments and fillers. The catalogue on the platform shows which services are offered.
Only the treating doctor decides whether a procedure is possible and advisable. The treatment contract is concluded directly with the facility or with the doctor; BGGI does not become a party to the treatment contract.
§ 3 Services of BGGI in the field of beauty
BGGI organises and accompanies: we take up your case, forward it to vetted doctors and facilities, obtain responses and cost estimates and organise appointments and, on request, travel, accommodation and interpreting. We do not treat and do not give medical advice. The facilities, doctors and service providers provide their services under their own professional responsibility.
Otherwise, § 3 of the GTC and § 3 of the Use and Service Agreement apply to the type and scope of BGGI's services.
§ 4 Full age
Aesthetic services without medical necessity can only be booked by persons of full age for themselves. We do not organise any procedures in the field of beauty for minors, not even via a family account.
If a procedure is medically necessary for a minor, we handle the case in the field of medicine.
§ 5 Questionnaire
There is a separate questionnaire for the field of beauty. It asks about your desired result, previous aesthetic or surgical procedures, photos, your expectations, the desired degree of change, the recovery time you can plan for, your travel period and health information relevant to the procedure, such as blood thinners, coagulation disorders, diabetes, wound healing disorders, allergies and other illnesses.
You can skip individual steps. Missing information may make the assessment more difficult or only possible after an in-person consultation.
§ 6 Consent to the processing of photos
Photos of your body are health data and can be very personal. We only process them with your explicit consent (Art. 9 para. 2 lit. a DSGVO). Without this consent, you cannot upload photos; you can still open your case.
With your consent, you allow us to store the photos you upload in your case file and to make them accessible to the doctors and facilities in the field of beauty to which your case is forwarded, so that they can assess your wish, answer you and plan a procedure. Employees of BGGI who support you in your case only see the photos insofar as this is necessary for that support.
If your photos show the breast, the genital or buttock area or other intimate body regions, we ask you separately before uploading whether you also consent to the processing of these photos. Only show what is necessary for the assessment; your face only needs to be visible if the procedure concerns the face. Only upload photos of yourself.
Other bodies do not see your photos. This applies in particular to interpreters, drivers, pharmacies, delivery services and accommodation landlords. An agency that supports you sees, of your photos as of your other documents, only the page count and date, not the content. If BGGI forwards your case to a Love Your Life office for processing, including an agency that has been set up as an office, that office sees your photos in the same way as the BGGI employees who look after your case. Your photos are only analysed by machine using artificial intelligence if we have informed you of this beforehand and you have consented.
Your photos are not used by BGGI or by the doctors and facilities for advertising, before-and-after depictions, training or publications.
If a facility is located outside the European Union or the European Economic Area, we only transfer your photos there if you have also agreed to the transfer to that country (Privacy Policy, transfer to treating clinics abroad).
Your photos are part of your case file. If no treatment takes place, we delete your photos at your request unless a statutory retention obligation prevents this; otherwise, the storage periods stated in the Privacy Policy for case data apply. A facility that has treated you retains photos that have become part of its treatment documentation in accordance with the rules applicable to it.
Your consent is voluntary. You can revoke it at any time with effect for the future: Portal → Data protection → Consents. After that, we no longer pass on your photos and delete them from your case file unless there is a statutory retention obligation. Disclosures already made remain unaffected; we inform the facilities of your revocation.
§ 7 Assessment, information and decision
An assessment based on photos and information is preliminary and does not replace an in-person examination. A procedure is only carried out after an in-person examination by the treating facility.
Before every procedure, the treating facility informs you in person and in a language you understand, in particular about risks, prospects of success and limits of the result, recovery time, possible follow-up procedures and alternatives, including not having the procedure. Between the information and the procedure, you have an appropriate period for reflection; its length is determined by the facility, and at your request we take it into account when planning appointments and travel.
Until the procedure, you can decide against it at any time without giving reasons. Which costs then arise is governed by § 17 of the General Terms and Conditions and the facility's cost estimate.
Nobody can promise a particular result. Neither BGGI nor the facility owes success.
§ 8 Moving between medicine and beauty
Some procedures can be medically necessary or aesthetic, for example a nose correction after an accident or reconstruction after cancer. BGGI may therefore move your case from the field of beauty to the field of medicine or vice versa if your information or the assessment of a doctor indicates this. You can also suggest a reassignment yourself.
When a case is moved, messages, documents, your self-disclosure and the history are retained. The reason, the acting person and the time are recorded.
We inform you about the move and its reason. From the move onwards, your case can be forwarded to doctors and facilities of the new field; we only pass on your documents and photos to new recipients within the scope of your consents.
The tax classification of the services may change with the field. The new classification applies to invoices arising after the move; invoices already issued remain unchanged. If an amount stated to you changes as a result, we will state the new amount to you before you book a further service.
Only the insurer decides whether a health insurance covers costs. The assignment of your case to a field of the platform is not relevant for this.
§ 9 Obligations of both sides
BGGI performs the services under § 3 with due care, passes on your documents and photos only within the scope of your consents and informs you about essential steps in your case, in particular about a move under § 8.
You provide truthful and complete information, especially on previous illnesses, medication and previous procedures. This information serves your safety.
Otherwise, the obligations under § 9 of the GTC and § 9 of the Use and Service Agreement apply.
§ 10 Remuneration and due date
§§ 11 and 12 of the GTC apply to prices, surcharges, payment and due date, and §§ 17 and 20 of the GTC to cancellation and refund. Before booking, you see the total amount of the respective service.
BGGI's prices are the consideration for the services under § 3 that BGGI actually performs for you. No fee arises for the choice of a facility or a doctor.
Aesthetic services without medical necessity are generally not covered by health insurers and may be taxed differently from medical treatments.
Costs for follow-up treatments, subsequent corrections, follow-up procedures or the treatment of complications are only included if the facility's cost estimate expressly states this.
The conditions of participation “Customers invite customers” apply to credit from the programme “Customers invite customers”.
§ 11 Travel, recovery and aftercare
Follow the medical instructions of the treating facility on the length of stay, air travel, recovery and follow-up examinations. Plan sufficient time on site before travelling back.
The facility names a contact person for queries and complications after departure. If implants are inserted, you receive the information and cards provided for this from the facility. The facility is responsible for aftercare and the treatment of complications; on request, BGGI helps with making contact.
In the case of acute, life-threatening symptoms, call the local emergency number immediately. Love Your Life is not an emergency service.
§ 12 Video consultation
§ 33 of the General Terms and Conditions applies to a video consultation in the field of beauty. Before the start, we ask you and the doctor whether the conversation may be transcribed for an AI summary; if you have booked the AI interpreter, we also ask you for your consent to it in the same step. A summary is only created if you both answer yes; it appears in your portal in your language and costs nothing extra. Sound and image are not stored, only the recognised text; it is deleted as soon as the summaries have been created, after seven days at the latest.
If you show body regions in a video consultation, this only happens voluntarily and only insofar as you yourself consider it necessary for the assessment.
§ 13 Right of withdrawal
Your statutory right of withdrawal as a consumer remains unaffected; details are set out in the information on the right of withdrawal. The law applicable to it applies to the treatment contract with the facility.
§ 14 Term and termination
These terms apply to a case as long as it is handled in the field of beauty. If the case is moved to the field of medicine, they no longer apply to it from the move onwards; § 8 applies to services already booked.
They also end with the end of the Use and Service Agreement. Termination and the consequences of termination are governed by § 26 of the Use and Service Agreement and § 36 of the GTC.
Your right to revoke the consent to the processing of photos at any time in accordance with § 6 remains unaffected.
§ 15 Liability and limitation of liability
§ 38 of the GTC and § 27 of the Use and Service Agreement apply to BGGI's liability and its limitation. In the field of beauty, too, BGGI owes the organisation and support of your case, not the aesthetic treatment, its result, the aftercare or the treatment of complications.
The treating facility or the treating doctor alone is responsible for the information, performance, result, aftercare and follow-up costs of a procedure. BGGI's liability for its own breaches of duty in organisation and support and liability that cannot be excluded by law remain unaffected.
§ 16 Data protection
The Privacy Policy, the consent to the processing of health data and, for photos, § 6 apply to the processing of your data.
§ 17 Confidentiality
BGGI treats your information, photos and documents confidentially and obliges its employees and the service providers it uses to maintain confidentiality.
Facilities and doctors are subject to their professional duty of confidentiality; BGGI only makes your photos accessible to them within the scope of your consent. Otherwise, § 40 of the GTC applies.
§ 18 Amendments to these terms
BGGI may amend the text of these terms, in particular to adapt it to a change in the legal situation or case law, to changed services and processes of the platform or to changed technical conditions. The amended version is displayed to you on the platform before it applies. The amended passages are displayed; the unchanged parts continue to apply unchanged.
Consent is given electronically on the platform. The time of consent and a checksum of the version consented to are recorded. Each version remains readable in the account file and can be retrieved there at any time; consent can thus be proven.
In addition, an e-mail about an amendment is sent to the address stored in the account. Irrespective of this, the amendment appears at the next login. The decision can be postponed; the notice then appears again.
Silence does not constitute consent. There is no deemed consent; without express consent, the version last consented to continues to apply.
If consent is not given, BGGI reminds you of it. If an amendment is urgent or legally mandatory, attention is additionally drawn clearly to it and to the consequences of not consenting. The reminders are sent within 30 days of the first display of the amended version. An amendment is urgent if, without it, the secure operation of the platform, the protection of data or the fulfilment of contractual obligations would be jeopardised; it is legally mandatory if a legal rule, an official or court decision or a binding requirement of a payment service, an app store or a supervisory body requires it and BGGI has no discretion of its own in this respect. The notice states the reason, the passage concerned and the consequence of not consenting. Even an urgent or legally mandatory amendment does not become effective without consent.
If you do not consent to an amendment, BGGI may only end the contractual relationship if there is an objective reason for doing so and continuation on the previous terms cannot reasonably be expected of BGGI. The termination is announced in advance with reasons; it is possible at the earliest after the expiry of 30 days from the first display of the amended version.
Services already paid for but not yet rendered, ongoing cases in the field of beauty and appointments already confirmed are handled in accordance with the version last consented to; otherwise, the rules on cancellation, credit notes and refunds apply. Statutory rights of withdrawal and termination remain unaffected.
§ 19 Form of declarations
You can make declarations under these terms, in particular consents, revocations and terminations, in text form, including via the platform or by e-mail. BGGI does not require a stricter form than text form from you.
BGGI makes declarations to you in text form, via the platform or to the e-mail address stored in the account.
§ 20 Applicable law
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies. Mandatory consumer protection rules of the state in which you have your habitual residence remain unaffected.
§ 21 Place of jurisdiction and consumer dispute resolution
The statutory places of jurisdiction apply.
BGGI GmbH is neither obliged nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
§ 22 Severability clause
If individual clauses of these terms are invalid or unenforceable, the remaining clauses remain effective. The invalid or unenforceable clause is replaced by the statutory rules.
§ 23 Language versions
This document is available in 24 languages. Only the German version is binding; the other language versions serve comprehension purposes.
